MEET THE MAKER

Hello! I’m Estée, the creator of all things hanging! By day, I am a qualified nutritionist and hope to be accepted as a PhD candidate for 2023. I began experimenting with polymer clay in 2019, and made my hobby into a business during the 2020 lockdown. Making jewellery is my creative outlet and I love exploring different techniques. Although I have a creative nature, I never thought I could create something good enough to sell. I have always admired handmade products and have been inspired by other creators. I've learnt that the best part about handmade products is the unique qualities and designs that are created through artistic interpretation. My favourite things to make are themed designs, they're just so much fun!

ABOUT JUST HANGING

PXL_20221216_220411144.MP.jpg

Just Hanging features small batch polymer clay jewellery and accessories, which means most pieces are one off designs and unique! All creations are handmade, by me, in my Melbourne home using polymer clay, with some coated in UV resin. Some pieces also feature glitter, shimmer, water transfers, paint, charms and genuine crystal chips. Polymer clay is extremely light weight and flexible, making all our creations easy to wear and use. Custom and wholesale orders are always welcome.

JUST HANGING JEWELLERY

We design and create a variety of jewellery pieces including stud & dangle earrings, rings, necklaces, and pins/brooches. Clip-on earrings are available upon request and these will be made to order. All earring studs, hooks and hoops are 304 stainless steel. Stud posts and pin backs are all embedded into the clay for extra strength and longevity. Our rings are also attached to 304 stainless steel adjustable ring bases.

JUST HANGING ACCESSORIES

We also design and create a variety of accessories including hair clips, keyrings, wall hangings, bookmarks and trinket dishes. Creating pieces with polymer clay often results in a lot of scrappy leftovers. We're pretty passionate about minimal waste, so we use a lot of our scrap clay to create unique patterns and colours for our bookmarks and trinket dishes.
